Numerical simulation of the temperature field of T2 copper/304 steel dissimilar metal electron beam welding

Abstract ANSYS workbench finite element analysis software was adopted to simulate and study the thermal process of electron beam welding T2 copper 304 steel heterogeneous materials in this paper. A solid model established according size specimens, a double ellipsoidal moving heat source temperature field specimens three-dimensional dynamic simulation imposed. Copper transient distribution pattern molten pool morphology were studied, cycle curve analyzed. The results show that peak side is higher than side, basically biased toward highest during appears center weld on about 0.5 mm.
